Any ebay can, or any can without decent direction/baffling inside, the gas suspended oil will just take the easiest route through the can, it won\'t help much. If i\'m going to go to the trouble of fitting one of these, i\'m going to make sure it will work correctly. In this video I go over installing a vehicle specific oil catch can in line of the positive crankcase ventilation system (PCV) install in my 2006 Nissan 350Z.

Alright, I spent a bit of time researching this a couple of weeks ago, and came to this conclusion. Stock PCV setup, left as is. Factory air/oil separator removed, hose running from crank breather to the back of the T piece. Front of T runs to a catch can, and the catch can has a hose that runs back to the intake, just before the turbo. This way the PCV vents pressure while at idle, and when on throttle, creates a vacuum all the way through the catch can and draws pressure out of the rocker cover and crankcase Edit: see pic. ^ I second this.

I used to have my can run between the block breather and the rear section on the T with a hose going from the front of the T to the intake pipe, boy was I wrong. Not only does this not accomplish anything but it puts more oil particles through your turbo and intake airflow. Now I\'ve got it set up exactly as described and not only does it look better but it collects a lot more gunk and sludge. Remember to use some heat sleeving or find a hose with higher heat tolerance when routing near the manifold/turbo!!
