Arsenal serial number lookup, arsenal slr serial numbers, bulgarian ak 74 serial number on dust cover location, bulgarian ak manufacture dates, bulgarian ak-74 serial numbers, bulgarian code dates, current bulgarian ak74 serial numbers, what year was my arsenal sam7 built.
Any way to narrow this down beyond the Year of Mfg?? I read on the 'dimples' post that Serial # starts with a lettter and then numbers the first being the YEAR of production. So mine is H086012xx so was mine the 601,2xx produced last year (08) [doubt highly] or is the month of production hidden also among the serial number?? Anybody from RAA or wherever who could shed light, would make this an interesting post/topic. Haven't got mine in yet (on order) but would be also great if RAA knew which production runs/ones were 'dimpled' from last year. Imagine that. I'm wondering if anyone has a rifle with a ser.# that starts with an M or lower/higher.
Here's my thinking.possible dates. I'm a plumber and alot of water heater manufacturers 'date' their heaters in the serial number. They start with a letter for month of production, next two digits are year of production.
They skip the letter I as it looks too much like number 1. So, PostA's gun with a letter L would have been manufacturered in November of '08. You's with his H would be built in August. But, this is just wild speculation, we'd have to get the real answer from RAA.
This is my best guess, it's how I would have done it. Hopefully they will log-in and weigh-in on this. I figured after a few years of being on here someonw would have asked this already.
A couple years ago or so the question of how many Saigas are produced and think the bottom line was that those numbers are a protected state secret by Russian law, so not sure you're going to get production dates, but maybe things are different over there now. Saiga is a civilian rifle, no reason to put it under secret. Besides, i am pretty sure, russians would have to disclose all the information to US customs and ATF. Hopefully they will log-in and weigh-in on this. I figured after a few years of being on here someonw would have asked this already. Besides, i am pretty sure, russians would have to disclose all the information to US customs and ATF Izhmash is still the manufacturer, and why would the Russians have to tell the US anything about how many they make? I didnt really think to pull the 'label' each gun comes with, stating its exact production day and comparing that to the serial numbers. All new guns have this information in the instruction manual. Maybe you guys can pull your manuals and compare the beginning portions of your serial numbers and dates of manufacture, and come up with a pattern. I can say, that every RAAC and EAA imported 12 gauge i have seen, have all started with H. I have a 2001, and it too starts with an H. All rifles, recalling from memory, that I have seen, all started with H as well.

The legion contract obviously drew its own serial prefix, the letter L I have only ever heard of one single gun, since i came to this forum, as having a different factory date number (under the oval just forward of your scope rail, is a two digit number that is the manufacture date) than the serial prefix, which was one different, and later than the factory make date. Obviously it was produced around the year changing, and was stamped one day with the prior year's date, then after the new year, was serial'd for that year's exportation date. Hopefully they will log-in and weigh-in on this. I figured after a few years of being on here someonw would have asked this already.
