Browning 9mm Pistol Serial Number

Left side of barrel says \'Browning Arms Company St. Louis Mo & Montreal P.Q\' Underneath that it says \'Made in Belgium\' It has got a circle cut out of the hammer and a wood handle.

Jul 15, 2012 - i just bought a used 1974 Browning Hi Power and i can NOT find the serial number on it anywhere. It\'s supposed to be serial number. This gun was my grandfathers and im trying to find out some info about it and a recommendation on if I should get it refinished or not.
