Yes it should be there. Realtek provides Dobly 5.1 surround audio. That is only audio driver in Acer driver listing for Aspire 7750g Windows 7 64-bit. I have checked other Realtek audio driver sites and this particular Realtek version is not included which means it is special-made driver for Acer notebook.
JMarco - ASUS K55-A laptop i7 3630QM proc, 16gb ram, intel HD 4000 video, 240 gb SSD, a/c 7260 wifi, W10 Home 3rd party sft-Chrome,iTunes, VLC4.0, Adobe Reader, Speccy,Kindle, firefox beta, netfix. Hi everyone, I have the same problem sice I installed W10 yesterday. I'm not sure if I fixed it but I think it could work. I only did this: 1.
Programs and Features 2. Look for 'Dolby Advanced Audio v2' on the list.
Right-click on it, and click on 'Repair' instead of 'Uninstall'. It automatically downloaded 7.2.7000.4 version. Hope it works! Editing: Still doesn't work. I'm sure my version is 7.2.7000.4 but I restarted and it keeps telling me Dolby driver is 7.2.8000.17.
I've checked ALL devices and not a single one has its driver on 7.2.8000.17 version. 2nd Editing: Solved! I ended up uninstalling 'Dolby Advanced Audio v2' completely, from Programs and Features.
Then, I installed 7.2.8000.17 version from here: Restarted. And it works, don't ask why. I hope it works for you as well.
Hello Casale, What did you say? What model of Lenova Laptop do you have? We need this information to better assist you.
If your not sure of the model, here is a PC Audit tool which builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, network inventory, missing Microsoft hotfixes, anti-virus status, security benchmarks, and displays the results in your Web browser. All of your PC profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any web server. Download and run a scan. This will also help you to complete the information in your 'System Specs' in 'My Profile' John. OK, thanks for the model info.
Try running the audio Windows Troubleshooter. To find all of the troubleshooters, go to the search box and enter Troubleshooting. Open the Troubleshooting Control Panel and select View all from the left pane. Choose 'Playing Audio' Didn't work? Try Windows Update, may have a generic audio driver to install for your device.
Next, would be to go into ' Device Manage' uninstall the audio driver, scan for hardware changes, then update the driver. I can walk you through the process, if you need help here. And if all else fails, we can try finding a driver on the Lenovo website for your device. OK, thanks for the model info.

Sorry for my delay in getting back but I had an unexpected stay in the hospital with a heart attack. You offered to walk me through some other options, which I would appreciate very much.
Again, the problem is that, on start up, I get a message that Windows 10 couldn't open the Dolby audio driver and to reinstall it. I don't know where that driver is to do so.
