HI I recently tried updating my iBuyPower computer with ASRock P67 Pro SE MB, with 16 GB and I7-2700K CPU @ 3.5GHz After some initial problems I finally go the update to work. Unfortunately, I was unable to connect to the internet. The culprit seems to be that Win10 doesn't recognize the Atheros AR8151 Network Adapter. I've verified the I have the latest adapter driver.
It also appears that the driver isn't compatible with Win 10 or hasn't been tested. So my question have you guys had other have problem with the MB upgrading to Win 10, and what do you suggestion I should do next? It seems that Windows 10 did not have a driver for the Atheros AR8151. It does seem to be an older model chip. Windows 10 has a driver for the Atheros AR8171 network chip, which is used on my ASRock X99 board. I tried the Atheros Lan driver ver:2.1.0.21 on this board's driver list for Win 8.1, and it works with Windows 10. The site below claims the same driver can be used with the Atheros AR8151.
NOTE: The first download on this page is a 'Driver Toolkit Installer', which may be a program to find and download drivers from their site. The actual driver download is below the first one. NOTE: You can get the same driver from ASRock's website.
I'll list that one first, you can choose the source yourself. I wanted you to see the other site's claim that the driver will work with Win 10 and the Atheros AR8151. You said you verified you have the latest driver for the Atheros AR8151 network chip. What is the version that you have?

Well I called at the service where they have changed my primary HDD (the stock one 1Tb 5400 rpm into 160Gb SSD HDD) and they told me that they couldn*t make the SSD HDD run on bios 2.07 so they switched into 2.02. I have exchanged my old HDD and it's working now. Here is the final test speed As you can see it raised with 50 Mb/s. But still I know that this PC can do better. I'm dissappointed.
Thank you a lot for your help, I think I'll just have to admit that this laptop was not build to reach download speed of over 700 Mb/s.
