Hello everyone, I know this topic has been dealt with extensively, however I have tried all the 'fixes' I have found with no luck. I should note my wife and I are both using the same model laptop (Asus X55ZA) running Windows 10 home edition and suffering the same issues.
Wifi drops out regularly and consistently and wifi tray app sometimes becomes unresponsive too. When this happens I will remain connected to network but network will become 'secured, no internet' and I cannot see other available networks. I am then forced to manually disconnect and reconnect.
Things I have done: Updated drivers, installed asus update tool and looked for vendor driver updates. Switched off 'Allow windows to turn off wireless adapter' in power settings 'forgotten' all wireless networks runs sfc /scannow disabled all security programs disabled bluetooth network troubleshooting updated windows ran malware scans including online scanners (Clean.) Wireless loss is somewhat regular, usually hourly to bi hourly and started a couple of weeks ago. Very frustrating! I'm currently on a trip to the EU and depend solely on wifi. Thank you, David. Thanks Angelo, I found a new driver that worked and was able to avoid the rollback, thank you for the help!
Daemon tools lite serial number 10.1.0.74. To answer your earlier question, I think this started right after the most recent windows cumulative update. I was a little frustrated that ASUS didn't provide the proper driver on their site and the company that makes the chip (Realtek.) also does not offer the driver on their web site, I had to get it from the Lenovo website (or 3rd party sites that I'm not really ok with getting drivers from.) Here's the driver install package that worked for my card (Realtek 8821AE wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC) if anyone needs it: Running this install removes the old driver & installed the new driver (Fixed everything for both laptops!) Thanks for your help man.

About Network/Bluetooth adapter driver: Windows usually offer a generic driver that allows systems to recognize the network component. However, in order to use all available features of this hardware, you must install the appropriate drivers. Installing the network/bluetooth adapter driver allows systems to read network chipset information and manufacturer name, as well as connect to a network without using an Ethernet cable (wirelss network/bluetooth adapter). Updating the driver version can resolve different compatibility issues, fix related errors spotted throughout the product usage, add support for new operating systems, improve transfer speed, as well as bring various other changes.
