If I buy a digital download code for a Sims 3 stuff pack will I have to update to 1.69 in order to install it? Buy the disc version of the stuff pack if you want to avoid 1.69 patch.
If you’re playing on Mac, you need to use The Sims 3 super-patcher to update your game. PC players can use the super-patcher as well. If you’re playing on PC, we recommend that you.

Check your region The super-patcher you need for Mac OSX depends on the region of the version you’re installing. If you already know which region version you have, skip to the next section. • Press the spacebar to open the file in Quick View Mode. • Check the version number listed under ClientBuild.
