This might be a contender of game of the year to most people to. With a lot of attention and hype this game is getting; with lots of praise and recommendations both on Youtube and various sites like IGN and Kotaku, this game seems to be still not known by most people. So, might as well weite down a review in Newgrounds VG forums. C: Undertale is an RPG game created by Toby Fox. It is an RPG game with an art style similar to Earthbound.
That is fitting because it borrows a lot of elements in Earthbound! Colorful characters, quirky humor, and an engaging story.
As for combat, well, this is where the game really shines. The combat in this game is like any regular turn based, but with a mix of mini games which will depend on how strong or how you avoid getting damage. When you fight, you simply press the Z button in time where the bar is at the center of the interface to determine how big the damage you are gonna deal. And when it's the enemy's turn, you have to do a bullet hell like minigame which will determine if you get damage or not.
Avoid the 'bullets' then you won't get damage. If you choose to fight. Another gimmick for this game is that you DON'T have to kill any enemies. You can actually talk someone down and 'spare' them and not kill anyone at all! Anything past this point will spoil the game. I suggest you get this game now! Play it blind.

Well ok, here's the more info on why I love this game so much. 1st is it's story. You are a kid (with an ambiguous gender) who fell down in a hole and wound up in an underground world where monsters live. They live there because there was a war that happened against humans and monsters.
The humans won and manage to trap the monsters underground and lock them out with a magical barrier. So, you, the kid, goes on an adventure creating friends, meet colorful characters, and set out to find a way back home. This game actually could turn into a horror like themed video game.
And more on that on the combat section. 2nd are the characters.
Everyone here are extremely likable and not one is annoying or forgettable. For example, Papyrus, who talk with the papyrus font with all caps who's goal is to capture humans and try to block them out of town with puzzles! However, he is too nice for his own good and is really silly when it comes to how he acts. And then there's his brother, San, who always slacks on the job, who seems to break the fourth wall and teleports off screen.
