XDS Performance Spring Kit Installation, XDS Trigger Spring Kit Post Recall, XDS - Trigger upgrade - PRP Spring Kit, Review of Springfield XDs 9 Mods: Powder River Precision Spring Kit, Truglo TFX Pro, Stealthgear. Evaluating the Powder River Precision Springfield XD Trigger Kit.
Hey Guys, I've been carrying my 9mm XDS for about a year now and I really love it - except for the heavy trigger pull. I would like to get a trigger kit to make the trigger pull lighter and easier to handle.
Download Scanner Drivers for Windows. Find your scanner model number by looking on the underside (bottom) of the scanner. If you are 10.10 or earlier, you can open Neat and connect your scanner and you should now be able to start scanning. If you are on 10.11 El Capitan, follow the steps below. When installing Neat Receipts on a Win 10 machine, Neat downloads SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2. When it tries to install that, it errors out. So I downloaded SQL Server Compact 3.5 from Microsoft and tried to install it. Neat download windows 10.
(My full size Ruger 9E and my dad's LC9s are both easier for me to shoot and I think they have about a 5 pound pull weight.) I have seen PRP pop-up a lot in online forums, but I don't know anything about them or if there are other options. I want something high-quality that I can trust my life too, but this is strictly for an everyday concealed carry weapon. It will never be a competition gun. What do you guys recommend for this scenario? I'd also like recommendations for a local gunsmith that can install the kit - preferably in the Johnston or Wake county area. I realize that many folks may install these themselves, but being my carry gun, I am just not willing to take any chances.
My local gun store said they offer gunsmithing services and can install it, and they seem very knowledgeable. I may lean to having them do it but I would love to know what options are out there. What gunsmith would you trust your life to? Thanks for your input! I have a PRP trigger in my XDM and I really like. Mainly for the reduced initail take up and reduced reset of the factory trigger. The PRP trigger is what Springfiled uses in their in-house custom shop, if you are worried about quality.
You could use PRP or Springfields Custom shop, just look on their respective webpage. I had my trigger installed by powder river precision.
I think the install was free for purchasing the trigger from them but the shipping wasn't cheap. I believe shipping was around $120 round trip. I think one more option may be Springer Precision. (Typing those on my iPad on a slow connection and having problems pulling up other webpages).

You are accountable for every shot you take, might as well stack those odds in your favor. You're preaching to the choir. I agree in principle. The problem is that you will most likely not have that same choir in a court room. You get a trial. You will be judged by your fellow citizens. Not necessarily your 'peers'.
I'm not trying to debate the reasons and benefits of lightening a trigger pull. Just mentioning the possible ramifications of doing so.
Everything I've read leads me to believe that at the very least you better have a good lawyer that can overcome the killer trigger that you made specifically to kill people with. Which is exactly what any prosecutor worth their salt will portray.
Personally, I learn to deal with what I've got or get something else. We're not talking a competition pistol here. We're talking about a SD weapon that you should be able to put rounds in center mass with. Without a fancy new trigger. Rolemaster classic pdf download. Center mass is a huge target.
The only trigger I have considered altering is on my 10/22. Will probably get around to the BX2 someday, but that's not a dedicated SD weapon, even though if I had to use it, I would. But in the end, do what ya gotta/wanna do. Just be aware.
This is for XD models in calibers 9/40/357SIG Springer Precision has coupled their XD Sear and a host of springs for the benefit of improving the XD's stock trigger. With this pairing of parts, you are one step closer to a full-house trigger job.
The results of the kit is a shorter, lighter, crisper trigger pull. Our testing shows that this setup will reduce your trigger's pre-travel by 50% and your trigger pull weight by 25% (two pounds or more). Kit Includes: Polished Reduced Travel Sear, Sear Spring, Trigger Spring, Striker Springer, Striker Safety Spring and LCI Spring Note: For the MOD.2 Service, you will need to use the optional XDM Trigger Bar. For the MOD.2 Subcompact, you will need to use the optional XDSC Trigger Bar with this kit.
