The website sucks. I have my deceased stepfather's Model 950 BS.25 ACP Jetfire pistol, and I'm curious about its age and history. Its serial number is BER14084V, but there's no place to search for serial numbers on the website, nor anyplace to download a manual. It's in perfect condition, probably only fired by me since my Mom hates guns and likely never let him shoot it. In fact, I found it, after he died, hidden in a cabinet in their garage, tucked safely in a Bianchi 18A holster, also in new condition. I have no idea when he bought it, but I've learned a couple of things on the web.
Only 2001 were produced – It was so popular that a second series was produced stainless steel with larger numbers in both 9mm and 40 cal. 92 Vertec Training Aide – blue plastic. May 28, 2018 - In the early 2000's, Beretta introduced their M9 Special Edition pistol. Additionally, on the frame six or seven numerical serial numbers are on.
It's stamped on one side, 'MADE IN USA BY F.I. So it is pre-Beretta USA. The flip-up barrel is also stamped 'F.I.I.'
Which indicates that the barrel was proofed in Italy, then final assembly was done in the US. Beyond that, I can find nothing, except that it's an exceptionally well made gun that is good for very little.
Beautiful work, though. Any thoughts on how I might learn more? The website sucks. I have my deceased stepfather's Model 950 BS.25 ACP Jetfire pistol, and I'm curious about its age and history.
