I've got a Dell Latitude e6420 that for compatibility reasons with my music studio needed to put an OE copy of Win XP x64 on in place of Win 7, and after many hours of struggling to find the correct device drivers for the various hardware components I've come to a perplexing point with the Dell ControlPoint System and Device Driver Pack, and if anyone knows of a hotfix or reg edit type workaround to getting this device driver to install on my machine I'd greatly appreciate any assistance anyone can provide! Oddly, though the technical specs of the latest version of the device driver pack states pretty clearly that is compatible with the XP x64 OS, it will not install on my e6420 and throws an error message 'Not a supported system' even though I am able to install and run the Dell Control Point Management software, it will not let me run the setup for the security management module until I install the security device driver pack. I'm guessing that this is because the dell e6420 is not listed as a compatible model, and wasn't 'meant' to have XP x64 on it. The architecture couldn't really be that different between an e6410 and an e6420 could it?
